All-Star Team Compliancy Requirements
Those players that join the Colts All-Star Football Team will be required to complete the following in this order to participate:
Pre-register
1) In order to express interest in participating on a GYFL team you must complete pre-registration here: http://thegyfl.com/football/gyfl-registration/playersparents-database. Once on this page scroll to the bottom and click on the pre-registration link.
2) Additionally, to be considered for the Fairfax County Colts we request you attend our Pre-Combine/Mini-Camp. During the camp we introduce the football campers to drills similar to the GYFL combine, being held on March 23, 2013. These drills consist of the Pro Agility Drill, Broad Jump, Vertical Jump, 40 Yard Dash and the Medicine Ball Throw, along with other agility and positional drills. This pre-camp serves two purposes; one, it gives the campers familiarity with all the drills they will complete on March 23rd at the GYFL Combine and two, it gives coaches, family member, and campers the early opportunity to be rated against their peers. Cost $25 per player.

1) In order for you to join the team, you must first attend a GYFL Combine/Mini-Camp. You can register at the following link: http://thegyfl.com/football/train/combine-mini-camps. Once on the page scroll to the bottom of the page and click the link to register.
2) The GYFL will offer Baseline Pre-Concussion Testing procedures to all athletes this spring through a partnership with Dr. Gerard Gioia. There is nothing more important to us at the GYFL than the safety of your child. Nothing is more precious than the brains of our children and although we have not made the concussion testing mandatory, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND that each of you take advantage of the opportunity that we are providing. We are fortunate to have formed a partership with one of the most respected and revered youth concussion specialists in the world! His name is Dr. Gerard Gioia. For Grassroots Youth Football League athletes, the test is offered for a fee of $30 per player. Please click on the following link for instructions: http://thegyfl.com/football/health-a-safety/baseline-concussion-test
3) Submit a $200 equipment deposit - Checks should be made payable to: Fairfax County Colts and post dated to June 23, 2013. These checks are NOT cashed but are held until the end of the playing season. When the player returns their equipment, the voided checks are then returned. If the equipment is not returned, we will then cash the check to recover some of the equipment cost (estimated value: $400).
4) Complete a Waiver/Liability Form - each player must have a signed Liability form by a parent/guardian. These forms are located under our Forms & Docs link on the left.
5) Submit a current Physical - each player must provide a copy of a current physical. This physical must be no older than 1 year from the first date of practice (April 1st, 2013). Note: CVS offers minute clinics as well as Doctors Express and both will take walk-ins for a small fee, where players can obtain a quick physical. Be sure to print out and take our physical form to be completed during the visit. This form is located under our Forms & Docs link on the left.
4) Proof of Age - Each player must submit a photo copy that shows proof of age. Acceptable examples are: DMV Walkers ID, Military ID, School ID, Passport, or Birth Certificate. Please be sure to photocopy these as we do not want your originals.
5) $125 League Fee - Each player must pay the GYFL registration fee. You can go directly to their website and pay online. (http://thegyfl.com/football/gyfl-registration) --> under the "Intrested In" section be sure to select: GYFL 2013 All Star League.

Equipment Needed
Practice equipment is issued to each player while supplies last. We normally carry enough stock to dress the first 40 players however where additional players join the team, those parents may be asked to provide the soft cloth practice attire for their player. Soft cloth is defined as: 7 pad integrated girdles, jersey, white practice pants.
Each parent is asked to purchase the following for their player:
1) Mouth piece
2) Chin strap
3) White game socks (needed by first game)
4) Cleats (no metal cleats allowed)
5) 7 pad intergrated girdle (used during practice and games)
Note: Our season is a spring/summer league therefore our local stores may not yet carry football supplies during the offseason. You will likely have to purchase these items online. If you need online ideas of where to shop, please see the Team Manager or Head Coach.
